Neste domingo (12) aconteceu a 59ª edição do “Grammy Awards”, a maior celebração do mundo da música, no Staples Center em Los Angeles. Em uma cerimônia emocionante e com críticas ao presidente dos Estados Unidos Donald Trump, os britânicos Adele e David Bowie ganharam todos os prêmios aos quais concorriam. Um total de cinco para cada um!
Aos 28 anos, Adele se tornou a primeira artista a vencer nas três categorias principais do evento pela segunda vez. Desta vez os troféus foram de melhor álbum do ano e melhor álbum vocal pop tradicional, ambos por “25”, assim como os de melhor gravação do ano, melhor canção do ano e melhor atuação pop solo, os três por Hello.
David Bowie, que morreu em janeiro do ano passado, não ganhava um Grammy desde 1984, onde conseguiu o prêmio de melhor clipe, com “Jazzin’ for Blue Jean ”. Na noite de ontem, os cinco gramofones do cantor foram de melhor canção rock (Blackstar), melhor atuação de rock, melhor álbum de música alternativa, melhor projeto de capa e melhor engenharia musical em um álbum de música não clássica, todos eles por seu último disco de estúdio, Blackstar, o de número 25 de sua carreira.
Com três horas e meia de duração, o evento foi predominado pelas performances! A cada prêmio entregue, ocorria 4 ou 5 apresentações. Entre os destaques, Beyoncé cantou (grávida) “Love Drought” e “Sandcastles”, Lady Gaga mostrou seu lado rockeira ao dividir o palco com a banda Metallica, Katy Perry apresentou o primeiro live de “Chained to the Rhythm” e Bruno Mars cantou “That’s What I Like”. Além disso, foram apresentadas lindas homenagens a George Michael, Prince e aos veteranos do Bee Gees.
